Wangandary Olives… the only Certified Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil entrant in the Northern Victorian 2016 Golden Olive Awards wins Gold and Silver!
Wangandary Olives is still celebrating after winning a gold and silver medal at the 2016 Northern Victorian Golden Olive Awards. This is the second year in a row the family owned business has entered the prestigious competition, with this year its most successful yet.
Head Judge, Helen Taylor said, “I think I could say the quality of the entries in this show were outstanding. These awards offer entrants the opportunity to benchmark against set criteria, receive invaluable independent feedback from industry experts, and be rewarded for excellence”.
Annie O’Shea, Wangandary Olives Marketing Manager, said “We’re thrilled to be a double medallist, as it really confirms all the hard work is paying off and our products are now recognised as being of such quality”.
This year’s competition attracted entrants from the Hunter Valley, Canberra and Tasmania. Out of the seven gold medal winners at the show five were from North East Victoria. In her summary of the show Helen Taylor said, “The exhibits in this show are a great showcase of the quality and variety of oils being produced in this region”.
